Sesame is grown for its oil found in its seed. It is found in tropical and subtropical areas of Asia, Africa, and South America. Compared to similar crops, the seeds of sesame are believed to have the most oil. It is a highly oil-bearing seed.
Sesame seeds are also rich sources of protein, vitamins, and antioxidants. Its rich flavour makes it a common ingredient in global food supply chain.
Sesame is mostly used by Oil Crushers, Tahina and Halawa producers, sweet manufacturers, bread factories and other bakery industries.
